Assignment: Introduction to Pointillism


Hello dearest artists!! Today we will be introduced to an art technique called Pointllism which is basically painting using tiny dots of various colors that will create a special texture. 

This technique was developed by French artist Georges Pierre Seurat with the aim of producing a greater degree of luminosity and brilliance of colors.

Instructions: 
Activity 1:Watch the video about a brief biography of Georges Pierre Seurat and art work: Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfooLqTTJ0w  or click the image below 

 Activity 2: Watch the 2 attached videos and follow the instructions to practice the Pointllism technique and make 1-3 of these exercises in a white sheet using markers, pens and paints.

Materials to use: For this activity you will need cotton buds, paper, markers and paints, as alternative materials you could use pencil colors, pens, gel pens if is the materials available for you. PLEASE do it with the resources you have at home and avoid to go out to get art supplies.

Traducción Puntual: Asignación: Introducción al Puntillismo Hola queridos artistas! Hoy tendremos una introducción a la técnica del puntillismo, la cual consiste en crear formas a través de puntos que son creados con pintura. Esta técnica fue desarrollada por el artista francés Georges Pierre Seurat con la intención de producir diferentes grados de luminosidad y brillo en sus obras. 

Instrucciones: 

Actividad 1: Observa el vídeo sobre la breve biografía y obras del Georges Pierre Seurat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfooLqTTJ0w Actividad 2: 

Observa los 2 vídeos y sigue las instrucciones para practicar la técnica del Puntillismo, realiza 1-3 ejercicios en una hoja en blanco usando marcadores y pintura. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dyapH_yAPQ&t=31s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vqjVWXRFCw&t=3s 

Materiales a utilizar: Hisopos, pintura y papel, como material alternativo si no tienes pintura puedes utilizar marcadores o lápices de colores. 

Recuerda, utilizar los materiales que tenemos disponible para evitar salir de casa.
